About this test

About the Business English Pronunciation Test (A2 Elementary)

In meetings, presentations and calls, clear pronunciation matters more than a perfect accent. Colleagues and clients need to understand key words such as figures, product names and deadlines the first time. This test uses upper intermediate and advanced sentences on business topics, so you can practise the vocabulary you actually use at work and see which words a listener might miss.

Why practise this at A2 level

At A2 you already know the everyday words, so this is the right moment to fix habits before they become permanent. The sentences talk about shopping, travel and free time and are a little longer, which helps you keep the sound clear inside a phrase.

How to get it right

  • Slow down slightly on numbers and key terms
  • Stress the most important word in each sentence
  • Pronounce the endings of words like results and increased
  • Keep a confident, steady pace

FAQ

Business English Pronunciation Test (A2 Elementary): FAQ

Do I need a native accent for business English?
No. Most international business is conducted between non-native speakers. What matters is being easy to understand, and this test measures exactly that.
Is the business English pronunciation test A2 right for my level?
It is ideal for elementary learners. If A2 feels easy and you score above ninety, move to the B1 version; if it feels hard, try the A1 version first.
How can I prepare for an important presentation?
Take this test to find your problem words, practise them with the model voice, then record yourself reading your presentation aloud before the day.
Is the business English pronunciation test A2 free?
Yes. It is completely free, with no sign-up and no download. You only need a microphone and a browser such as Chrome, Edge or Safari.
How is my pronunciation scored?
The browser listens to each sentence and compares what it heard with the text, word by word. Clear words turn green, almost-right words amber and unclear words red, and you get a score out of 100.
Can I choose British or American English?
Yes. Choose British or American English before you start. The model voice, the spelling and the speech recognition all follow the accent you pick.
