Start the testCheck the long OO in food, moon, blue and school, and make sure it stays long and round. This version uses B1 sentences: natural, connected speech at intermediate level.
The long OO in food and blue is made with the lips tightly rounded and pushed forward and the back of the tongue high. It is longer and tighter than the short OO in book. Learners who use one U sound for everything often make it too short, so pool sounds like pull and fool like full.
At B1 you speak in full sentences, and sounds start to change when words join together. These intermediate sentences make you keep the sound clear at a natural speed, which is exactly what people notice in a real conversation.

Adding a Y sound in words like food and school
Mixing it with the short OO in words such as good and look
Each sentence trains one sound. The orange label above the sentence tells you which one.
