CeroVerdades generales, hechosIf you heat water, it boils.
PrimeroPosibilidad futura realIf it rains, I will stay home.
SegundoPresente/futuro irrealIf I won the lottery, I would travel.

Zero Conditional: Hechos y Verdades Generales

First Conditional: Posibilidad Futura Real

If + present simple, will + verbo base. Se usa para situaciones futuras realistas.

  • If it rains tomorrow, we will cancel the picnic.

Second Conditional: Presente o Futuro Irreal

If + past simple, would + verbo base. Se usa para situaciones hipotéticas.

  • If I won the lottery, I would buy a house.
  • If I were you, I would apologize.

Third Conditional: Pasado Irreal

If + past perfect, would have + participio.

  • If I had studied harder, I would have passed.
